Ophthalmology Referral Request

Please use the form below to request an Ophthalmology Referral with Dr Petra Price, Veterinary Specialist in Ophthalmology.

To assist us in triaging the referral effectively, please include images with your submission. 

For urgent cases:

We recommend submitting (or resubmitting) the case as a remote consultation (vet-to-vet consultation) to be completed by Petra.

For surgical cases

A remote consultation is strongly recommended. It allows Petra to assess the case, discuss likely treatment options, and give accurate cost estimates before the client travels to Feilding. We can also provide interim case‑management advice while the plan is finalised.

Once assessed, we can often book the patient directly for surgery without needing a separate in‑person consult. This means the client usually only needs to travel once. The cost of the remote consult is credited toward the in‑person consult at the time of surgery.

If the client prefers an in‑person consultation, we can arrange that; however, these are booked several weeks ahead and may add 6–8 weeks to the overall timeframe.
